ABOUT PROVIDENCE PIN UP

Providence Pinup was founded in 2008 as a one stop pinup transformation shop! We provide women with the opportunity to unleash their inner bombshell and create beautiful, timeless images of themselves inspired by classic pinup style. We believe that pinup art is not just for sweethearts' to enjoy, but is a valuable way for women to express their femininity, sensuality, and flirtatiousness in a style that is truly an art form.

At Providence Pinup we provide everything you need to transform into your best self. Our expert team of vintage stylists draws from an extensive wardrobe of vintage and vintage inspired clothing in a range of styles and sizes. Our makeup artists will highlight your best features with a vintage flair, and our hairstyles will create an authentic vintage coif to top off your look. Then, our incredible photographers will guide you to help create the perfect image of you at your best.

Since Providence Pinup is also about having fun, you can find us out on the town as part of various events. Owner Lulu Locks is the featured host of Speakeasy, a vintage and cabaret event that runs bimonthly in Providence. We frequently collaborate with Narragansett Beer on events such as the Miss Hi Neighbor pageant.   Our work can be found in partnership with The Perishable Theater, and is featured in every issue of Motif Magazine.  We have also partnered with Style Week Providence and Sound Session to bring a little pinup twist to these events.

ORIGINS OF PROVIDENCE PIN UP

Providence Pinup is a woman-owned and run business based in Rhode Island. LuLu Locks and Kryzstyna Calderone joined forces in spring 2008 to bring out the inner bombshell in every-woman. LuLu’s old school styling knowledge and vintage collection, combined with Kryzstyna’s photo experience to create a natural partnership. In 2010, LuLu became the sole proprietor of Providence Pinup.
